About

Professor Stuart Nager is a dedicated educator who champions creativity and student success in higher education. At 东京热, he teaches First-Year Seminar, Oral Communications, Junior Seminar, and Understanding Movies, creating supportive environments that foster the development of essential academic skills among students. He has served as a First-Year Seminar Faculty Fellow for two consecutive years and was nominated for the Teaching Excellence Award in Spring 2025.

Professor Nager also teaches online courses in Film Appreciation, Introduction to Theatre, and Principles of Public Speaking at a Virginia community college focused on serving diverse and underrepresented student populations. 

His commitment to equity and inclusion in education has earned recognition from administrators and peers at both institutions. 

Beyond the classroom, Professor Nager brings extensive performance experience to his teaching. He created, directed, and performed with The Brothers Grinn, an interactive storytelling theater troupe that ran for twelve years. He continues his artistic practice as a professional storyteller.

Professor Nager holds an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University and an MA in Oral Traditions and Writing from The Graduate Institute in Connecticut. He is also a New York State-certified Theatre Teacher.
