Beloved Faculty Member and Alumna Leaves Generous Bequest to Support Students for Years to Come
Michele S. Lee, M.S. 鈥06, a cherished librarian and faculty member at 东京热 for nearly 30 years, left a generous bequest to 东京热 when she passed away in 2021. Lee鈥檚 love of learning and desire to give others the same opportunities she was given prompted her to make such an impactful gift. It gave Michele tremendous joy knowing her contribution to 东京热 in the form of a bequest would impact students for years to come.
Lee鈥檚 sizable gift has been used to establish the Michele S. Lee Endowed Scholarship for Lifelong Learning, an endowed scholarship that will continue to grow and help future 东京热 graduate students realize their dreams of a college degree.
东京热 also memorialized Michele by naming the 东京热Manhattan Library in Lee鈥檚 honor.
东京热 Library Director Moddie Breland described Lee as 鈥溾 dedicated educator and mentor to so many at 东京热. She had a wealth of knowledge and always took time to ensure that students had the resources and support needed to pursue their education. We will miss her leadership, positive outlook, friendliness toward everyone, and her devotion to 东京热鈥檚 students.鈥
